It is with immense pride and deep humility that I accept the honour of serving as the President of ASAMI India—a prestigious organisation that stands as a beacon of academic excellence in the field of Ilizarov methodology for deformity correction, limb reconstruction, and lengthening
This year, we embrace the Presidential theme:
"Together We Build: Expanding Horizons in Limb Reconstruction" a call for unity, innovation, and outreach as we collectively push the boundaries of what’s possible in our specialty.
My vision is to transform ASAMI India into a vibrant, inclusive, and forward-thinking organisation, anchored in our core motto: “Let’s Teach the Basics.”
I firmly believe that strong foundational training is the bedrock of clinical excellence. Hence, my foremost focus will be on nurturing postgraduate students and young orthopaedic surgeons—equipping them with hands-on, skill-based learning and the confidence to manage complex limb reconstruction using Ilizarov techniques.
To facilitate broader engagement, we have simplified the membership process with an easy-to-use online registration system through our website, making it more accessible than ever to join the ASAMI India family
I am fortunate to be supported by an enthusiastic and dedicated Executive and Working Committee. Guided by the wisdom and experience of our esteemed past presidents, I am confident that together we will lead ASAMI India to new academic and professional heights.
I would especially like to acknowledge the tireless efforts of Dr. Amar Soni, Secretary, ASAMI India, and Dr. Ravi Chauhan, Treasurer, ASAMI India—who were, and continue to be, unwaveringly by my side. Their commitment, collaborative spirit, and constant support have been instrumental in strengthening the foundation of our organisation.
I am also deeply thankful to the entire Executive Team, whose passion, dedication, and teamwork are the driving force behind every initiative we undertake.
